Hospitality and Tourism

The grade ten program offers students an introduction into the exciting world of Hospitality and Tourism. Students are able to develop the basic skills neeeded in order to gain employment in the field.

What I appreciate most about my program is the access to great teachers and the excellent facilities at KP. I also enjoyed the chance to serve the community through the culinary arts program. I believe that this experience will someday help me get a job.

The grade eleven and twelve program is designed to futher develop the student's skills in one or all of the following specialized areas:

Cooking
Baking
Catering
Customer Service
Restaurant Management

The program prepares students for a smooth transition into employment, apprenticeship or a post secondary education in Hospitality and Tourism. Community catering and service opportunites provide real work experiential learning.

All students enrolled in the culinary program prepare daily lunch service for the entire staff and student body as well as for the District School Board of Niagara cafeteria.
